Under the direction of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia (GACA), the project encompasses reviewing and drafting KAIA’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operating Manuals (OMs) to ready the airport for the completion and opening of its multi-billion dollar expansion.

The ASI team has been tasked for services related to the SOPs and OMs for KAIA’s airfield, safety and emergency operations, based on industry standards and best practices from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

“From the start, ASI has been an enthusiastic and invested contributor to this crucial project. Our work with Egis, KAIA and GACA will play an important role in the airport’s day-to-day operations,” remarked Dr. Pierre Coutu, ASI’s President. ASI appointed its Vice President, Consulting, Mr. Robert W. Kennedy, to manage this project. Mr. Kennedy has over four decades of experience in the aviation industry and was a member of the leadership team of the world’s busiest passenger airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
