An
ASI Associate, Paul Lannon currently operates his firm,
Atlantic North Development, from his base in St. John’s,
Newfoundland and Labrador. Atlantic North has an extensive
business network throughout Canada and draws on over
30 years experience in a variety of industries including
Tourism, Aviation, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and
Exporting.
Paul is also a partner in Atlantis Aviation Consulting,
a founding director of Fly Fresh Freight Inc. and President
of the Great Labrador Company.
Prior to Atlantic North’s start-up in 2003, Paul’s
aviation career path has included senior management
positions with a number of Canadian airlines. From Eastern
Provincial Airways in the seventies, Air Labrador in
the eighties and Air Nova/Air Canada in the nineties,
Paul has worked with and helped shape regional and national
carriers in Canada. During his career he has had direct
experience in most facets of an airline’s infrastructure
including customer service, marketing/sales, airport
operations, safety management, cargo operations, and
flight scheduling.
From the early nineties till 2003 Paul was the senior
executive for Air Canada in the province of Newfoundland
and Labrador and responsible for community and government
relations.
A recently completed project in 2004 saw Paul direct
the start-up of a new Tier Three carrier in Newfoundland
and Labrador. The carrier operates 12 flights a day
connecting to Air Canada’s main line flights.
Paul has served on many boards including ATAC, St.
John’s Board of Trade, St. John’s Port Corporation,
Atlantic Canada Tourism Partnership (Past Chair).
