Since
the early eighties, Stéphane Chennec has been
active as a professional consultant for Canadian and
world wide organizations. His field of expertise is
strategic planning and negotiation, identification and
management of marketing opportunities as well as building
partnership programs.
In North America and Europe, Mr. Chennec had made business
development, strategic marketing and project management
his daily activity while conducting training seminars
and round tables or addressing audiences as a guest
speaker. He also got special assignments in Southeast
Asia and the Middle East.
Stéphane Chennec’s professional consultancy
has been more oriented towards civil aviation and tourism
since joining, in early 2001, the Executive Associates
Network of Aviation Strategies International.
After graduating from Laval University with a Law degree,
M. Chennec spent time in government – both in
Quebec City and Ottawa – working as a political
aid and press assistant to Members of Parliament and
then to Cabinet ministers. Prior to his foray into the
political world, he worked as a journalist and newscaster
in Montreal.
In the mid eighties, M. Chennec went to the private
sector, first as a project manager and then as an account
executive, sales officer before becoming vice-president,
operations, Eastern Canada, for a major Pittsburgh-based
consultant firm specialized in social marketing and
community investment.
In 1995, M. Chennec took an assignment in Geneva, Switzerland
with the World Wide Fund for Nature and then two years
later decided to create his own firm Amerigo specialized
in the sustainable development of partnerships, in Europe,
between the business community and not-for-profit organizations
or higher education institutions.
While based in Paris and Barcelona, he was involved
with market and product development for his clients
throughout Continental and Eastern Europe, United Kingdom,
Scandinavia as well as specific assignments in United
States and Asia.
Stéphane Chennec’s major involvement in
the civil aviation industry has been focused on air
service development and route expansion, new product
marketing and mobilization / communication strategies.
His clients include Airport Authorities, Industry organizations,
Convention and Visitors Bureau organizations and US
States or European economic and tourism promotion offices.
Among highly specialized courses from Airports Council
International that M. Chennec attended: «Airport
Marketing & Route Development» (Salzburg,
Austria), «Airport Business & Retail Activities»
(Hong Kong) and «Air Cargo, Infrastructure and
Development» (Singapore). He is also a regular
participant to AMERC / Concordia University (Aviation),
ACI World and ACI North America conferences.
