AVIATION STRATEGIES INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF A NEW DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS


NOVEMBER 27, 2008 – MONTREAL – Dr. Pierre Coutu, President of Aviation Strategies International (ASI), announced today the appointment of Ms. Kristina Schneider as ASI’s Director of Operations.

Kristina SchneiderMs. Schneider specializes in project management and educational technology. She holds an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University in Montreal.

Ms. Schneider started her career with the Royal Bank of Canada where she worked from 1990 to 1998. Prior to joining ASI, she was the Director of Blended Learning Strategies at Documedia, a leading Canadian e-learning producer. She also worked as an Educational Technologist with the Centre for Instructional Technology at Concordia University's John Molson School of Business where her key contributions were the development of the joint ICAO-JMSB Aviation Security Management Professional Programme, the design of distance education courses, and the reengineering of the instructional material development process for the Global Aviation MBA Programme.

Ms. Schneider will be based in ASI’s Montreal office and her mandate will consist of working on the company’s strategic corporate positioning, business planning and development, including optimizing ASI’s client relation management strategy, coordinating the operations of the ASI international network of associates and working on the launching of the ASI Institute, which will be the focal point for all ASI executive development activities from January 2009. She will also be part of the management team heading the implementation of the online community of practice of the Global ACI‑ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP) for which ASI is the designated Programme Administrator.
